You may have come across my site as you search the web for someone – a therapist – to talk to about things in your life, or maybe you have an appointment lined up to see me and you want to know what to expect when you come in.
If you’re under the age of 18, a parent or guardian will need to accompany you to the first appointment. While it’s necessary to have him and/or her there at the start, we may decide to meet individually, without a parent, for a portion of the first session. I’ll be interested in hearing about how you’re doing and what’s going on in your life – at home, school and with friends. You may already know what it is you’d like to talk about or how you’d like to spend your time in counseling. If not, we’ll do our best to find a focus in counseling that will be of interest and benefit to you.
I’m open to receiving phone calls or emails, so please get in touch if you have any questions or want to discuss the possibility of counseling. I hope to have the chance to meet you, and should a session occur, I sincerely hope that you find our time together helpful and worthwhile!
